Śrī Śrīmad Bhaktivedānta Nārāyana Gosvāmī Mahāraja  •  100th Anniversary

Achyutananda das bramahchari

India, Vrindavan

I offer my humble obeisances at the lotus feet of nitya-lila pravista om visnupada astottara-sata Sri Rupanuga Acarya-varya Sri Srimad Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja

For the good fortune of conditioned jivas, Svayam Bhagavan Sri Krishna descends to this world of darkness to show the light of bhakti, as well as sending His dear associates to carry on His mission of removing ignorance and giving bhakti.

During his manifested pastimes Srila Gurudeva gave so much mercy to the suffering jivas of this world. When he entered nitya-lila he left his mercy in two main places, in the hearts of his sincere bhaktas and in his books, which are like pots of nectar that can be tasted by this type of bhaktas only.

Srila Gurudeva spoke extensively on Gundica-mandira marjana. He said:

- Nityananda Prabhu and His expansion Srila Gurudeva are completely capable to take away all anarthas and leave the heart immaculate and ready for Sri Bhagavan to sit in. This is the symptom of a Vaisnava, his heart is the resting seat of Govinda ‘ krishna se tomará krishna dite paro, tomara sakati ache’.

He said, “The only effort that jiva has to do is to take this mercy.- This means to follow his vani, and what's his vani?” He taught all over the world, “Trnad api.…, Anyabhilasita sunyam.…, Vaco vegam, Tat te anukampam.…, Sadhu sanga.…, Aradhyo bhagavān.…, Amnaya praha.…., Gurau gosthe.., Man-mana-bhava... “ and in his own words - by following this, certainly your life will be successful.

- Svayam Bhagavan Sri Krishna’s instructions and Srila Gurudeva’s instructions are in the same category "acaryam mam vijaniyan..."

- Sri Krishna warns in Gita 3.32 “....those persons who do not follow these instructions of Mine, become bereft of discrimination, cheated of all true knowledge and ruined in all their endeavours for spiritual perfection.”

Therefore Srila Gurudeva's instructions cannot be compared to the most valuable jewels of this world.

They are the nectar that leads to Goloka Vrndavana. They can never be ignored, and as disciples is our duty to honour them.

I pray to his lotus feet that he showers his mercy on us so we can fulfill his desires.

Parama-dayalu and patita-pavana Srila Gurudeva ki jaya!
